Today many people use the online love apps looking for girl friend, boy friend or sex partners. I think the online love apps can meet true lover, but it is hard. For example, three of my friends who were using the online love apps got married, but I knew that they met many men through apps until they met a man who was married. They tried many times and finally got married. I also tried to meet some guys in the online love apps before I met my husband because I was curious about the online date. But I just thought the men whom I met using the apps were just enjoying relationship, it was not have serious relationship, so I was surprised that my friends got married a man who met through apps. I am still wondering about some people can meet true lover through the online love apps, but my friends are good relationship with her husbands still now. So I think that online love apps are like to blind date because blind date is also woman and man both do not know each other at the first, and then they know each other slowly. If someone do not require money, it is a good way to meet a girl friend or boy friend.

I think online dating sites have two sides effect, so depending on how people use it, we can tell it is good or bad, but mostly I don’t believe in that. For me, it is useful when we build a relationship in person, so we can know the partner’s personality well, not through what he or she writes to us.

Hi Aileen- I’m glad things worked out for your friends- like the story I told in class, my friend also found her husband online, but she had to date A LOT of men before she found one she liked. I think you are right, online dating is a lot like a blind date. Even if you have talked to the person online, when you meet them for the first times, you never know what you will get.
