Hi, my name is Aileen Jeong. I’m from Korea, and I have lived for four years in Hawaii. I met a guy from Hawaii and I got marry him and then, I moved to Hawaii. I live in China Town now. My family is my parents, little brother and little sister. They live in Korean, and I live with my husband now. So I miss my family. I like to hang out with my friends and drink Soju(Korean’s vodka), but I moved to here and it is hard to make friends, so sometime I’m bored. My new hobby is watching Netflix at home. I’m trying to watch American drama with English subtitle. I want to improve my English level. My major is Chinese Mandarin, so when I was 20 years old, I went to Shandong, China and studied 1 year and then, another 1 year I worked at advertisement company in Shanghai, China. It was good experience for me. But, I start to study English after, my Chinese language skill getting worse. I think that trilingual people are great and smart. I hope my English level improve this class. Thank you.

Hi Aileen! Thanks for introducing yourself- I LOVE your photo. Is that you and your husband? Watching American movies is a great way to increase your English language skills. I once had a student that would watch every Disney movie she could find to practice her English. That’s amazing that you can speak so many languages! Looking forward to class with you this semester!

Hi Aileen! I am very glad to make friend with you! Because you look like my best friend in Vietnam. If you have time we can hang out and go somewhere to try some food here. hihi… We can try hard to talk and study English together. I watch Netflix either, but I just watch cartoon on it.

Yay, I think watching the movies with English subtitle is the best way to improve the English, I do it too, even with some Vietnamese movies, I still like to watch them with the English subtitle.

Hi Aileen. I love Korean food, so please tell me about the best Korean restaurants in Hawaii. I should watch American dramas like you because we hardly ever watch TV. We love playing family board and card games after our dinner. Do you know Rummikub game? It’s our favorite game.
